“You’re sick!”
“I’m fine.” came the stuffy reply.
“(y/n)!” He was wringing his tail in his hands as he followed her down the hall.
“Kurt Wagner. I am fine!” She struggled with the door knob for a moment, as it almost froze shut in her cold hands. The door popped open with a whine, revealing the frost streaked walls.
“I’ll bring up some soup or….” He managed to catch the door before it was shut.
“No, Kurt.” The door was forced shut with a glassy look and a scowl.
“No Kurt, meinem linken Fuß.”
The screech echoed down the hall. Kurt cringed, wondering what exactly was waiting for him when he turned around. Probably should’ve knocked A glance over his shoulder revealed anything but what he was expecting.
“You’re blue!” He almost spilled the soup as he turned on his toes in a tight circle, dropping the pill bottle he had clutched in the other hand.
“I tend to be, sometimes.” grumbled out the blue-skinned, red-eyed creature, under the pile of quilts on the bed.
“Blue!”
“Yes, Kurt! Blue. Now are you going to stare at my forehead markings or make yourself useful?” He hadn’t even realized he’d been staring. Scrambling quickly for the pills, he shuffled closer to the edge of the bed, sitting carefully as to not disturb her.
“(y/n).” He passed the soup over to her clawed hands, watching as her anger burned away, leaving her blinking at the bowl.
“Kurt.” She smiled a bit, meeting his eye for just a second. “I’m not even a mutant. Jotun. A race of creature from space. Thor and all, you know?”
“You’re blue.” A soft sad sigh rippled the broth in the bowl. “like me. Blue. Like me!” He sped in, pressing a excited kiss to her temple, and flopping onto the bed with an uncontrollable, contagious laugh that spilled out and filled the small room.
“And you’re feet are freezing!”

«Don't you ever think that I don't like you, Kurt.»✩
After the victory of defeating Apocalypse, [Name] had tried to befriend the blue-skinned mutant; Kurt Wagner. But if was easier said than done, nonetheless, they both considered each other as friends – however, for the past few days, Kurt had started to act not his normal cheery self. It worried [Name] to the core, but would not push it. She had questioned it once, but no direct answers had been spoken. He had shuffled on his spot on the couch, tried to avoid eye contact with her.
His red colored eyes flicked from side to side,

He had seen her fight- she had some ridiculous moves. At first he had thought she was a teleporter too, but when he approached her, she merely shook her head and walked off, leaving the poor guy confused as ever.
But he saw it next battle. She melted down the metal handcuffs that bound her. And the chair she was sitting in. And the wall. The Nightcrawler didn't quite understand what made her so ashamed of her powers, until

**Please note that this installment takes place between “Safety Blanket” and “A Pirate’s Life For Me” if you would like context. Of course, all of these “chapters” can be taken as one-shots (I think), but I just thought to add this cute scene ‘cuz I make reference to a situation—like the one in this installment—in a future piece that is currently in the works.
[Name] is playing in the courtyard with the Bamfs again. Kurt and Warren are on a mission and not expected back for the next few days. [Name] hasn’t been at Xavier’s for very long—only three months and she
